Autobiographic memory deficit
Why some, quite healthy mentally people are not able to recall events from their own past?
The memory of some people is arranged so that they are able to remember in the smallest details almost every moment of their life. This phenomenon was open several years ago and called hyperthemia. And now the researchers have discovered the reverse syndrome, which they called the “shortage of autobiographical memory”.
In their work, neuropsychologists describe three cases. AA-52-year-old married woman, BV-40-year-old lonely man and SS-a 49-year-old man living in a civil marriage. All three cope with everyday life perfectly, they have work, but at the same time they argue that all their lives they were not able to remember and re -experience their own past. In early youth, they first realized that they were suffering from a similar problem. At the same time, they normally remember the facts and learn practical skills. Two of them experienced depression in the past, but at the time of the study it has already passed.
Three patients underwent thorough neuropsychological testing for intelligence, memory and psychic productivity and showed the results not lower than average or even higher. The only important exception was the poor test results in which it was necessary to draw a complex figure from memory. Researchers believe that the key to unraveling secrets can lie precisely in impaired visual memory.
Compared to other respondents (approximately the same age and education), participating in the experiment were able to recall much less autobiographical details from adolescence and early youth. In recent years, they remembered better, but scientists believe that this is due to compensation strategies – the use of diaries and photographs as hints, as well as thanks to the preserved ability to memorize facts and details.
“How your memory works?”
Air Force documentaryists have collected in their film the most curious and significant medical and psychological experiments of recent years explaining the properties of our memory.
Patients themselves described that they have practically no memories and they are not available to the re -experience of past events. It was also difficult for them to imagine the future, which is consistent with the theory that the memory and imagination of the future use the same mental processes.
Brain scanning did not reveal any damage or diseases, but when patients tried to recall something of their past, the key areas of the brain associated with autobiographical memory were less active than the participants from the control group. Another difference recorded by scientists: the hippocampus of the right hemisphere, playing an important role in the work of memory, was slightly less than the norm in patients. These changes can be associated with a memory deficiency, but they are clearly different from those that are

observed with the so -called teenage amnesia, in which the volume of brain -related areas are sharply reduced.
Scientists do not yet know whether such a syndrome is an extreme manifestation of the norm or nevertheless obvious pathology, and they are going to continue research.

7 products that prolong the youth of the skin
How to preserve the elasticity and freshness of the skin with products? We have prepared a supofood rating, which, according to dermatologists, are able to improve the quality of the skin, as well as delay the first signs of aging.
To maintain the beauty of the skin, the right care is necessary: balms for protection against pigmentation, retinol products for updating, hyaluronic acid and vitamin E for nutrition and moisturizing. But to achieve the maximum result, it is necessary to nourish the skin from the inside – choose a diet consisting of the necessary vitamins and minerals.
These seven products work miracles, they are able not only to maintain natural beauty and prolong youth, but also to fight the first signs of aging.
1. Avocado
It contains oleic acid from the Omega-9 group, which helps the skin preserve moisture and remain elastic.
2. Blueberries and blueberries
These dark berries contain a large amount of vitamin C and E. Such a powerful duet of antioxidants fights free radicals and pigmentation, returns radiance to the skin. Arubin is responsible for the even skin tone, which is in excess in ripe berries.
3. Pomegranate
He is rich in vitamin C, one of the most powerful antioxidants. Regular use of grenade grains will help prevent the premature appearance of wrinkles, dryness and will fight toxins.
Grenade also contains anthocyans, stimulating the production of collagen and ellagic acid, which relieves inflammation caused by ultraviolet radiation.
4. Watermelon
Watermelon is not in vain considered summer dessert. The pulp of this summer berry acquired her bright red-pink color due to the content of lycopene. This natural antioxidant protects the skin from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays.
5. Lobster
This delicacy, in addition to delicate taste, has a number of skin bonuses. For example, lobster meat is rich in zinc, which accelerates the renewal of skin cells. Zinc also has powerful anti -inflammatory properties – which is why it is contained in many means to combat acne. So, choosing in a restaurant between spaghetti with salmon or lobster, give preference to the latter.
